Student Council - 30 week plan

Hi Council,

This is a proposed 30 week program for the council.Read through, think through and give me your input. I would really like to hear from you. Each project will be tasked to a committee and councilors will be assigned under each project.

Let's do it!

A) Term 2 + June holidays (5 WEEKS)
1. Vendor Survey and collation and presentation of results to student body and principal and Vice-principal. Suggestions for improvement.
2. Parents-Teachers meeting Sec 2s and selected Sec 1s and Sec 3s.
3. Alumni Meeting 26th May 2007 – school tours
4. Council Camp last week of June
5. Planning phase for Term 3 and 4 projects
6. Short courses for selected students
a) Peer Mediation seminar
b) Hwa Chong SLC
c) Surbordinate Court Seminar + Youth and the Law ( in co-ordination with Rositah)

B) Term 3 (10 WEEKS)
1. School opening ceremony
2. Jalan Kayu heritage Trail
3. Project 163 – CIP-cum- student welfare project
4. Meet MP Lam Pin Min of Sengkang West + attend meet the people's session to understand community leadership.
5. Teachers' Day Celebrations

C) Term 4 (10 WEEKS)
1. Peer tutoring scheme
- Sec 3s tutor Sec 1s and Sec 2s
- Sec 2s tutor Sec 1s
- Same level tutoring
2. Jalan Kayu Heritage Trail

D) Year end school holidays (5 WEEKS)
1. Leadership training camp - Visit to top Malaysian school - Exchange program ( We can host them in early 2008)
2. Planning for 2008 projects + Review of 2007 projects
